Skier
Sues for Injuries Even Though He Signed Release
Skier sues ski hill operator for injuries suffered
when he struck a retaining wall partially cover
with snow. The ski resort argued that the release
he signed prevented claim even for injuries caused
by the resorts negligence. The Utah Supreme Court
considered wether to enforce the release. It also
considered the states statute which makes ski
operators free of fault for injuries caused by
inherent risks of skiing.
