A disability insurance company denied coverage
for a diving accident saying the act of diving
was intentional and injury it produced was self
inflicted. The trial court and the appellate court
considered the definition accident. The case demonstrates
the way a disability insurance company will attempt
to deny coverage in circumstances where most people
would think coverage exists.
