Unwanted Faxes
The telephone consumer protection act was written
to protect consumers from unwanted facsimile receipts.
A man who repeatedly received ads on his fax machine
sued the senders. The law allowed him to collect
$500.00 for each unwanted fax, and $1,500.00 for
every unwanted fax he received after he told the
senders to stop.
